Quote audits

The auditor runs in your browser. If the "add this quote, anonymized" box is ticked, we store: the first three digits of your ZIP code, the system type and size, the brand and model if you typed them, the quote amount, the equipment value we matched and the grade. We do not store your name, email, full ZIP, or IP address. For abuse prevention we store a one-way hash of your connection address combined with the date, which changes every day and cannot be turned back into the address.

Second-opinion requests

When you request an independent quote, we store the details you type (name, email, optional phone, ZIP, quote amount, brand/model, timeline and notes) and share them with up to two independent installers serving your ZIP, as the consent box says. The public website cannot read these records back.

Newsletter

When you subscribe, we store your email address and the page you subscribed from, and use them only to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from any email, or email us to have the address deleted.

Partner applications

Contractor applications store the company and contact details, license number, truck count, service ZIP codes and notes you submit. They are reviewed by a person and are not shown on the site.

Deletion

Email hello@tonnagechecker.com and we will delete your newsletter address, contractor application or second-opinion request, and tell any installer we shared a request with.
